The farm called for 13 bushels of wheat rent per year. The Beekman Rent Book C:86 notes that Stephen Akins was assigned the farm in 1777 for payment of 300 pounds; that it was then assigned to Comfort Shaw in 1778 for 1100 pounds Continental. A further note adds: "15 Feb 1780; This day received from Nathaniel Cary the above lease and gave him a new one for 100 acres." ----------------------------- On May 3, 1785, Margaret Livingston of Clermont deeded land in Pawling, Lot 4 NE corner to her son.
